Brand new range of food, drink and shopping options inaugurated
Established, respected brands coexist side by side with exciting new concepts. On Tuesday 26 March, Landvetter's brand new range of food, drink and shopping options was inaugurated with much fanfare.
Over the past six months, Göteborg Landvetter commercial offering has undergone a top to bottom renovation and renewal to better meet the expectations of our passengers. The completed renovation was celebrated with speeches, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and festivities on the inauguration day on 26 March. In attendance were Airport Director Anna Strömwall, Björn Olsson − CEO of Scandinavian Service Partner AB (SSP), which operates five of the airport's newly established restaurants − andnot least, all the passengers who passed through the airport during the day of the inauguration.
Since last autumn, already established units such as Göteborg Duty Free, Pocket Shop and Eton have been joined by WHSmith, InMotion and Sweshop to name a few. The new businesses offer a wide range of kiosk fare, from hot dogs and sandwiches, to snacks and drinks, a large assortment of electronics for the journey and a first-class range of souvenirs and gifts to meet our passengers' demand for unique local gifts to take home to family and friends.
The most striking change at the airport, however, is the growing range of restaurants, where established, respected brands like Joe & The Juice and Espresso House have re-emerged in new concepts and in new spaces alongside Bastard Burgers, PONG Sushi & Poké, Italian gem Barino, Bistro & Bar, C/C Cornelius Coffee and FIKA – the latter four of which have been developed in-house for Swedavia's airports by SSP and offer everything from high-quality coffee and traditional Swedish fika to a laid-back restaurant experience with the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine or a beer in a pleasant bar environment. In addition, the popular burger restaurant Max is renovating its space in the departure hall according to the chain's new concept, which is expected to open in late spring.
